Shooting with Cephalon, Inc.

Sunday, January 6th, 2013

As is always the case when shooting for pharmaceutical companies, the photography is the easiest part, learning about the drugs to better enable the shoot is the involved part. I just finished a location shoot with an awesome creative team at Abelson Taylor, for Treanda, a drug that is indicated for the treatment of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I had to learn some of the basic concepts of organic chemistry in order to understand how to build a model of the molecular structure of the drug. The process was intense, yet rewarding, and the shots came off without a hitch, thanks in great part to the generous help provided by Dr. Charles Bauer, who advised us on the intricacies of the molecular structure of the drug. Special thanks to Valerie Bulinski for finding the perfect location and to Rich Schiller for building the perfect model. Many thanks also to Molly R, Anne, Eric, Noah, Molly K, and Katy, the creative team behind the project at Abelson Taylor.

And as always, thanks also to my terrific crew…  Ashley Vest, Mark Doddato, Sandy Rosencrans, Audra Zaba, Jen Robinson, Melinda Myers, and Margo Crouse!
